Everyday Work: A chemical engineer conducts research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes and does tests and monitor performance of processes throughout production.
Working Conditions: A chemical engineer works 40 hours a week and sometimes has to work over time. They are also exposed to dangerous substances.
Advantages and Disadvantages: Two advantages are that I would be doing a lot of problem solving which I enjoy doing and there are different fields I can go into, so I can find one that interests me.

I feel that this is a job for me because I enjoy science and
math. I think this job pays well so I can be strong financially by doing
something I want to do. There are also good schools for chemical engineering in
Wisconsin which means I can still stay close to home.
